Excerpt from: Bead and Button Newsletter January 16, 2012 Look what they did at Bead Soup in Savage, Maryland!
	When Bead Soup bead-store owner Kathleen Fritz and fellow beader Jo Ray read about the Bead-It-Forward bead-quilt project in Bead&Button, they sprang into action and organized an event they called "Flocking together." They invited beaders from their community to join them on New Year's Day to create beaded squares to donate to the project. Jo Ray designed several different Baltimore Orioles patterns and Bead Soup provided the beads, the backing, and peyote stitch instructions when necessary. Twenty people attended and donated their time and skill to create these beautiful squares. One of the beaders is only nine years old! In total, 24 people contributed squares for this cause and Kathy thinks they will have about 35 squares to donate. She has received wonderful feedback from everyone who participated and they can't wait for the next event. Thank you to Kathy, Jo and everyone who participated. You have made a difference!
