Bead Soup is located at 8600 Foundry Street Suite 604-207 Savage, Maryland 20763. Since we opened our doors we have become known in the DC and Baltimore Metropolitan areas as a friendly whimsical store with a little bit of everything. We offer a full selection of beads, beading supplies, tools, books, magazines, classes and kits.

Wednesday-Saturday 10-6:00 p.m.

Sunday 12-5:00 p.m.

Monday and Tuesday are appointment only if you are traveling in the area. Please call prior to your visit

I'm so lucky to live close and to have found this shop. As others have said, it's much more than a "shop." It's a beautiful art space that encourages creativity in each guest with the help of infinitely patient instructors. But more important, Bead Soup is a place for fellowship, good cheer and finding the artist in everyone.

Lots of LOVE Fob

With Valentines Day right around the corner and snow everywhere we can definitely send these kits out to anyone who needs a quick gift! This is a large silver fob and will take you no time at all if you have the knowledge of even count peyote.

You will be receiving a word and color chart but no instructions but not step-by-step instructions for even count peyote so you will need to have experience in this bead weaving stitch to make this project successful. The fob is added by zipping so prior knowledge is also needed for that technique too.

Fobs/peyote patterns can also be made into a small tapestry, displayed in a shadow box or hung as an ornament. Let your imagination go once you own this pattern you can change the colors and make it anything you want.

Our fobs are created with size 11/0 Delicas to create our color scheme and these colors are listed on the color chart which you will receive when you make your purchase. All of the Delicas are included in this kit along with one fob used as shown in the picture. We used 6lb Fireline and a size 10 beading needle to create our sample. We did not experiment with other beads, thread and/or needles so we are unsure of the outcome if you use other materials than what we did. Thread and/or needles are not included in your kit.
