This group started off with the intentions of me having the ability to teach while running the store BUT after the December get together I realized that I am not able to do that so the scope of this group is a get together and not a 4 hour teaching session. I will teach and guide as much as I can and I will not ask others to teach while they are there to work on their own projects. My customers have always been generous with their time but they are not obligated to spend their time teaching.

Class fee $55

This is a one day workshop with Charlaine. The kit includes everything you see in the picture. You will have verbal step-by-step in instructions given by Charlaine and the use of in-studio supplies.

If you have your own markers, pencils and/or pends please bring them along because sharing might mean you will have to wait for certain colors and/or tools

Each basic bead embroidery kit is $20. There are multiple kits to pick from. You can pick up a kit the day of the event. Please note you will also need needle and thread. We can guide you with the purchase of needle and thread if you need them or you can bring your own

All materials are included in this class. You are not limited to colors shown in the sample.. The colors combos are endless. Beads and extra embellishments can be purchased from Bead Soup for an extra cost. Elizabeth can walk you through the process of adding extras to your bracelet

Flat spiral bracelet kits are $20. There are five different colorways to pick from. Additional supplies can be purchased after class if you want to pick your own colorways

If you have created with Precious Metal Clay Fine Silver, you already know it as an addictive medium to use.

Lets explore the possibilities a little further!

Lets make little frames to carry our newly chosen Firespell cabs!

In the 2nd-Part of our Collaboration you will be introduced to several techniques --

Texturing the back and sides of a "box".

Measuring & Mitering corners for a build.

Dry to dry construction for a squared edge frame.

Wet to dry construction for a bail for the frame.

 Michelle found several molds if you prefer to mold and decorate the surface instead

(you will also add an inner ring of clay, for height to hold the resin) 

It is best if you have previously worked with metal clay to partake in this session.

We will use 25gms of Art Clay Silver.

Molds and Textures available to use in class.

Extra clay always available, as well - extra Firespell cabs - for purchase too!

Completed pieces will go home with Michelle to fire and polish and "resinate"

Returned to Bead Soup on January 31st when we will gather

to do some fancy stringing together.

You must purchase a kit in order to take this class. We have a new peyote bracelet for $20. You can also learn how to make fobs for $8 and $10 or a pen wrap for $10. You must have the appropriate beading thread and needle. Our samples were made with 6lb Fireline and a size 10 beading needle. Thread and needles are not included in your kits

Craft Crafter Crafting In the Open Space Studio

3rd Wednesday of every month

11-3:00 p.m.

We've opened a new studio so we're starting a new group. This group is going to bring out the best in everyone. You can work on anything you want and hopefully we'll all learn something new from each other. We know there is so much more out there than just beads so why not share some knowledge or just show off what you do!

If you want to bead, you are more than welcome to pack up some beads and join us too.

For the first meeting we'll start at Bead Soup just in case I don't have all the chairs and tables ready but we'll take a walk and show everyone.

Since this group isn't about beads or beading there is a $10 fee

All those silver treasures you made - can now be finished! Or any chainless pendants you have waiting- bring them to adorn!

You have the choice to bring any beads, chain - even broken bits, ribbon, clasps and crimps you have accumulated for the day you just knew you would need them.

You can wander the many volumes of treasures strung through Bead Soup and purchase as you go.

$30 fee will get you the afternoon of instruction in the studio and use of tools if you haven't brought them.

There will be loads of samples even some silver pendants for purchase if you have forgotten yours.

Its all in the Layers - Dimensional Silver!

Just before the Holiday madness - treat yourself to some fun on a Saturday morning!

This technique is perfect for anyone who is just starting out with precious metal clay, or those with a bit of experience. 

We will work with molds, complimenting the layers - focus will be joining the parts. 

You will choose a couple shapes you want to layer - like my snowman, his scarf and his giant snowflake!

Then you will learn how to get the separate pieces to join - making sure they are one piece... without squashing the shapes or detail!

15 grams of silver will allow for a base piece and several dimensional decorations.

Silver pieces will go home with Michelle for fire and polish and be returned to Bead Soup for pickup after 12noon on Friday Dec 19th

Bead Soup - Holiday Pop up will hold a quick, on the spot, Silver Clay Charm Afternoon,

We will have a table full of molds and a bit of clay to play - $25, and you can make your own charm. Just a quick taste to experience how cool this medium is to create with. And simple! This moment will give you a feel for how simple it can be. 

You will be introduced to molds, given a bit of silver, then the following weekend (or anytime after Dec 19th) come back to pick up the fired and polished pieces, where you can also choose a ribbon or chain or ear wires to complete your new gleaming silver treasures.

A call to let us know you are interested is great - but you can just pass through too.

Silver artist, Michelle Arsenault will help you mold your own fine silver charm with Precious Metal Clay $25 per charm. Michelle will give you a quick introduction to process of transforming reclaimed silver clay (PMC) into a beautiful pure silver charm. Beginners are most definitely welcome! Bring a friend (or two) we will be having just so much fun!  Michelle will take your pieces home with her to her studio where she will fire and polish your treasures, then return them to Bead Soup the following week (anytime after Dec 19th for pick up)
