a fabulously creative material developed in the early 1990’s in Japan. PMC consists of microscopic particles of pure silver powder and a water-soluble, non-toxic, organic binder that burns off during firing.

Intro to PMC Silver - As cute as a Birdie in a nest!
you will learn the basics of PMC in this introductory class, including; how to form, texture, cut, dry, then return to pick up -
Students will hear about both kiln and torch firing the clay. When fired, the organic compound is burned off, leaving 99.9% fine silver.
Nothing to Buy Before Class! and No Experience Needed!!
Use of all hand and studio tools as well as the materials used to make the project, included in the class price.

You will be introduced to molds and textures used and how to roll and cut them out. Then with simple joining - create an elegant piece of silver jewelry - so easy - to surprise yourself and amaze friends!

Silver artist, Michelle Arsenault will help you create your own fine silver adornment with Precious Metal Clay. Michelle will walk you through the entire process of transforming reclaimed silver clay (PMC) into a beautiful solid silver piece of jewelry. Beginners are most definitely welcome! Bring a friend (or two) and spend the evening being creative and having just so much fun! (You will come back to pick up the finished fired and polished pieces from Bead Soup.)
