2 Day Silver Clay Ring Class with Michelle Arsenault

This is a brilliant 2 day workshop where you will learn to make a magnificent silver ring – a simple band, a stone set or a statement of your very own design, using the techniques you will learn.

Festooned or not, the conceptualization is yours! 

Scroll ideas, bring your thoughts, I will guide you in the magic of turning an old grey lump of clay into a sparkling piece of silver to grace your hand. Alchemy is (truly!) - simply at your fingertips!

Silverclay Ring Workshop – 2 day $ 110   Saturday, Feb 3, 11-2 & Sunday, Feb 4, 12-2

Saturday we will "build" the ring. This will include stone setting and the band. Texturing will be covered, as well as dry to wet joining, hiding the join and width vs depth for strength.

Sunday will be for fine tuning and decoration - sculpting and filagree, snakes and balls, lol!

All use of equipment (as well as ring stops for firing), firing, polishing included in the class price! 

Consumables (actual silver clay and stones, czs) are additional, see below for pricing range 

(Firing and polishing happens off sight and will be returned to Bead Soup at a date to be determined in class)

Silver clay will depend on your choice of build - band only, up to statement ring with multiple set stones.

Silver clay - $35 - $125. Stones range 3mm 80cents to 14mm $8.

(Mid range for a nice ring - 20gms clay $50 with 5/6 mm stone $4)

Included is a handout with photos and notes. Please note: the handout is not a stand-alone instructional booklet.
