3D Bead Embroidery: Holly &Berries
Kit required: $24
Additional Supplies Needed:
Sharp scissors
Super Glue
A couple dress pins
Thread of choice ( I use 6lb smoke Fireline) about 10-12 yds
These projects are using felted fabric which i make by knitting the wool to the size needed and then I felt the fabric. I’m targeting beaders, not knitters, so I’m making all the felt to be used as a component in the project. Students will cut out the shapes and bead them. As a creative design element, I make them three dimensional with wire. The shapes need to be thick so that the wire remains hidden. Normal bead embroidery done on Lacey-stiff-stuff or velvet or other fabric will not work
