Bling it On!
Lets have fun with sparkle for our fingers!
This class is much more focused, not for a beginner. At minimum an intro class is encouraged. We will cover lots of different steps to build your own Silver Ring. You will work with a 25gm piece of pure silver metal clay.
We will first be covering stones and settings, (there will be a selection available for purchase in class.) Molds and textures and manipulation of the clay will be covered. We will roll, join, layer and fold!
And next, Let's Build!!
We will again roll, join, layer, sculpt, prop and talk shrinkage to adapt for your finger size. Once everything is joined and looking the way you like - the entire piece will dry a bit in the dehydrator and we will do some fine tuning, clean up.
Michelle will then take everything home to fire and polish and the date for pick up of your new silver treasure will be decided before the end of class.
(PLEASE!!! know the size you want to build before coming to class.)
As each step is covered there will be periods of down time where pieces will dry in the dehydrator,
