Frosty Snowmen Bottles with Laura Hummel
We will be making one of my all time favorites…Snowmen bottles. I have been making these for nearly two decades and every one is unique and joyful. Two vintage bottles are included in your supply fee …a large and small one, but feel free to bring another bottle of your choice…I do like odd numbers! I clean the bottles with denture cleaner since some have been bathing in dirt for many years! I have used old baby bottles, ones that held water, beer, or sodas, bottles for medicine, fragrances, or candies. I prefer bottles that are clear. We will mold heads from paper clay, add a scarf, hat, and other decorations. I like to put beads , false pearls, or glitter pipe cleaners inside. You can add buttons, ribbon, or other embellishments directly on the bottles with the glue I will provide. Faces will be formed with brads and carrot noses.
Please bring:
Scissors
Plyers
Some things for decorations …buttons, a “hat”…(biscuit cutter, vintage pastry bag tips, a tub plug), vintage jewelry and other found objects for embellishment, glitter or mica flakes, something for a scarf, stickers of letters to numbers…have fun hunting and gathering! I will have a lost and found bin for you to explore.
The supply fee of $20 will be paid to the instructor and includes: two vintage bottles, paper clay and styrofoam balls,
Beacons glue, brads, pipe cleaners, tinsel, wire, and hodgepodge of other funky embellishments.
