This pendant necklace combines bead embroidery and bead weaving. A handmade foiled polymer clay cabochon seems to glow underneath netted bezel with a cute woven component on top. The glow is reflected in the small acrylic cabochon that hangs below the pendant. Shaped beads add a nice element to the pendant and are carried into the woven neck chain. As a bonus- there will enough beads to make a pair of matching earrings.
Various bead embroidery stitches will be explored- bezeling with a netting stitch, stack stitch, back stitch, brick stitch edging, as well as embellishing. The neck chain is a woven base of square stitch embellished with Gem Duos and Super duos. Students will also learn how to weave a toggle clasp.
