Maryland is definitely for crabs and we are feeling a little crabby with all this heat and power outages! So why not set the mood with a pair of Maryland crab earrings.
This pattern is perfect for the advanced beginner and above. It is helpful if you have prior know of brick stitch so that you can read and interpret the diagrams given in the downloaded instructions.
Supplies Needed
7 Size 11/0 Delicas
Size 15/0 seed beads
Small drops for the fringe-we used 3.4mm Miyuki drops
Ear wires
Nylon Thread such as One G, Nymo or KO for the fringe
Our samples used 6lb Fireline for the brick stitch portion of the earring and One G for the fringe. It is not recommended using Fireline for the fringe since it will not give the fringe the sway that it needs.
All Bead Soup projects are created with Miyuki beads so we are uncertain of the outcome if you decide to use something other than what we used in our samples.
