Maryland Blue Crab Embroidery PDF

We love our blue crabs here in Maryland and this beautiful bead embroidered crab has a layered depth to gives you dimension to your pendant.

Knowledge of basic bead embroidery is very helpful for this project since there are multiple layers and dimension. You will receive step-by-step instructions and diagrams with a template that you will need to cut out for your crab so a printer is necessary.

All of Bead Soup’s projects are made with Miyuki seed beads so we are unsure of the outcome if you decide to use beads other than what we used in our sample.

Supplies Needed

Bead Foundation

Ultra Suede or similar backing

Beading thread

E6000 or similar glue for bead embroidery

White pen for marking areas

Size 12 beading needle

5-size 15/0 seed beads

3-size 11/0 seed beads

2-drop beads for the eyes

Charm for embellishment-we used a shell
