These pieces are high-end examples of wearable art, blending architectural structure with vibrant color. This pendant is perfect for the advanced beginner and above bead weaver. Having prior experience in bead weaving techniques and reading patterns that have step-by-step instructions and diagrams is very helpful.
Each pendant is shaped into a three-dimensional pentagon. Rather than being flat, the beadwork is engineered to "puff" outward, creating a star-like or kaleidoscopic effect.
The Focal Point: At the heart of each piece is a large, brilliantly faceted Rivoli crystal. These crystals have no holes; instead, they are held in place by a "bezel" of tiny seed beads that wrap around the edges.
The Pattern: The beads are arranged in radiating rows, using color shifts to emphasize the five-pointed geometry of the frame.
Our samples were created with 6lb Fireline and a size 12 beading needle. We did not experiment with other thread and/or needles so we are unsure of the outcome if you decide to use something other than what we used.
